Wale Ojo-Lanre now SSA to Governor Fayemi on Tourism Development

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has elevated Amb. Wale Ojo-Lanre as  the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism Development, having served as the Director-General of Ekiti State Council For Arts and Culture under the same administration. The appointment was announced by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Yinka Oyebode to the media on Monday.

 Ambassador Ojo-Lanre was appointed alongside 44 others to head various government agencies and parastatals in the state, with immediate effect.

now  SSA to Governor Fayemi on Tourism Development, was Associate Editor of the Nigerian Tribune Newspapers.

He has used his experience as a tourism, culture and hospitality journalist to enhance the promotion of Ekiti State culture, arts and tourism. During his administratiin as DG, he reinvigorated the state’s cultural troupe in Arts and Cultural Festival and revamped the state's Cultural Festival (EKIFEST).

With the new appointment,   Ojo-Lanre, is expected to  bring his experience and industry passion to bear to further boost the tourism programmes of the Governor.



 Professor L.O. Ademilua and Alhaji Tiwon Bello were also announced as  Water Corporation Chairman and member, respectively.

Professor Kehinde Oluwadiya (chairman), Mrs Felicia Ibiloye, Mr Paul Abeegunde and Mrs Florence Adeoti (members), College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero.

Mr Banji Ojo, Ayana Adams, Ayan Adeleke and Kayode Idiowo as chairman and members, respectively of PENCOM; Mr Alfred Ologuntoye, Mrs Kemi Olaleye, Mr Lanre Fasuan and Honourable Adeniran Alagbada were appointed into the Fiscal Responsibility Commission.

For the Security Trust Fund, the Governor appointed Dr Biodin Arokodare has as its chairman and Kayode Omoboya, Akin Ọlọ́run loni (informal) and Sola Ojo (informal) as members.

Petroleum Products Regulation and Consumer Protection has as its chairman, Peter Adekunle (chairman) and Akinniyi Sunday, Akindele Ogungbuyi, Arinka Talabi a d Lekan Oyebanji as members.

Chief Atejioye, Alhaji Afolabi Fadairo and Mrs Lolu Adejumo were appointed into the Agency For Adult and Non-formal Education, while Dr Isaac Ayodele, Messrs Samuel Dada, Akinlabi Francis, Ojo Oluwadare, Mrs Osetoba Olusola, Mrs Ojo Oluwadare, Mrs Bimpe Adeleke and Mrs Kehinde Olanipekun were appointed into the state Sports Council.

Professor Segun Ajibola, Alabi Olusesan Charles and Mrs Olubukola Modupe Ajisafe were appointed as chairman and members of the Ekiti State Lotteries Commission, respectively.

Other members of the state Urban Renewal Agency included Gbenga Omole, Tope Olanipekun and Erelu Dupe Ogundipe, while Femi Ige was appointed SA, Strategy and External Relations.

Bolaji Adeyeye and Olori Gbemisola Bobade were appointed SSAs, Urban Renewal and Governor’s Office (Community Mobilisation), respectively.

The appointment was part of efforts to reposition Governor Fayemi's administration for effective service delivery.
